New Social Responsibility Standard, ISO 26000

The ISO organisation has decided to establish an ISO standard for social responsibility in the same way as quality or environment, the difference being that the new SR standard will not be for certification ­ but serve as guidelines. Brazil and Sweden have been appointed the task of managing the project for developing the standard. Reino Fridh is involved in the work which will be called ISO 26000, and he has a special focus on aspects of communications and stakeholder dialogue.

Reino has a background from leading positions in IKEA for 25 years, among other positions he was responsible for corporate policies and project manager for the development of IKEA's Code of Conduct. At present he works as a consultant with strategic development based on CSR. He is Chair of SVN Sweden and also Director of the Board of SVN Europe.
