The Will to be Ethical

Andrea Bocconi

Where individual and social responsibility are concerned Psycosynthesis offers a vital contribution. Responsibility means giving a correct response to a need. How can we do that if we aren't aware of our own needs? Someone said: “Love thy neighbour as thyself”, not more (nor less) than thyself.

In this short seminar we will examine the relationship between responsibility toward ourselves and responsibility toward someone else, using Psychosynthesis theory and praxis.

Andrea Bocconi holds a degree in Law and Psychology. He is a psychologist, psychotherapist and member of the Italian Therapeutic Psychosynthesis Society. He was a student of Roberto Assagioli who founded Psychosynthesis. Andrea is founder of the Psychosynthesis Institute and President of Arezzo Psycosyntesi.
He regularly teaches Psychosynthesis in Sweden, Holland and Spain. As a member of the World Youth Service & Enterpise (WYSE), he has also been teaching in several foreign countries around the world.
He is interested in the development of creativity in Psychosynthesis: personal development, therapeutic, educational and social. He has significant experience as a teacher in prisons, schools and the Psychosynthesis centres.
